Waldo Jewelers was created in 2009 by Master Goldsmith and Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology graduate Michael Marentes. Quickly gaining clientele as the source for quality jewelry repair in the Kansas City area, Michael began to also excel at creating custom jewelry. To keep up with the growing demand for one-of-a-kind engagement rings Waldo Jewelers expanded its manufacturing capabilities and staff to include additional jewelers and gemologists. In 2023 Waldo Jewelers expanded and moved its operation from a small unfinished workshop to a full-scale retail and manufacturing facility in the heart of Waldo’s historic district dedicated to designing and making engagement rings and wedding rings for Kansas City couples and beyond.

The in-store experience reflects Waldo Jewelers’ passion for one-of-a-kind design, with state of the art technology  and design experts ready to assist you in creating the perfect ring or other special jewel. Breaking the mold of the typical big box model, at Waldo Jewelers you will not find arrogant salespeople or rows of outdated merchandise. The boutique decor is modern with floral and blush “bridal” accents to commemorate the special occasion of designing your forever ring. Modern design software and manufacturing equipment is on display as you work with one of our design experts to turn your engagement ring concept into a reality.

From initial concept to completed piece, all work is done on premises by local craftspeople. No outsourcing means you will get the exact ring you want and enjoy direct from the manufacturer pricing.
